The Office of External Programs, Internships, & Career Services (EPICS) empowers students to explore and develop career strategies for internships and beyond. Through innovative, multidisciplinary classes and events, EPICS facilitates innovative career strategies for students entering the communication arts and sciences and today’s creative economies. EPICS encourages students to create connections with the larger Northwestern community to discover mentoring, networking, careers, and other experiential opportunities.
EPICS delivers programming around a series of career competencies to give students a framework for success. Skills-based workshops and masterclasses form a foundation for our mission. EPICS career competencies help students express:
- Career Readiness & Advancement
- Communication & Articulation
- Critical Thinking & Creative Solutions
- Individual & Collective Leadership
- Industry Trends
- Innovation & Professional Creativity
For employers, EPICS can help your organization connect to Northwestern students through a job board where you can post opportunities in the communication arts, health communication, radio, television, film, sound, and the creative economies. The office offers a number of ways for your organization to engage students on campus.
