In partnership with NUEA (Northwestern University Entertainment Alliance), Hollywood 101 is coming to Evanston from LA! This event is focused on helping you land your first job or internship in the entertainment industry and the hard skills you’ll need to stand out from the pack. With special guests and mock interviewers from the entertainment industry, you won’t get a better introduction to Hollywood and all its strange quirks.
This program is best suited for individuals trying to break into the Hollywood entertainment industry, especially those interested in “traditional” career paths that primarily include but are not limited to Film/TV production, writing, producing, and creative development. We will be giving you the tools to land and succeed at entry level positions. While some of the skills we’ll be teaching are applicable to cities like Atlanta, Chicago, New York, the focus of the program will be what to do after moving to Los Angeles.
Please pick a movie/TV show to practice pitching prior to the event.
